General information
A hobby refers to an activity that someone does aside from their job or career. Hobbies are undertaken during off work hours and they are typically the things that people do for pleasure. Virtually anything can be considered a hobby. Hobbies range from all scopes and areas of life such as sports, volunteering, crafts, and many, many others. Hobbies can serve to bring in extra income or they may simply be activities to pass the time. They can be group activities or solo activities as well.

Hobby stores
With the incredibly wide variety of hobbies that exist, specialized stores are needed to supply peoples’ hobby needs. These stores can be technology stores, sports stores, gun shops, scientific supply stores, music stores, gaming stores…etc. There are certain stores that are actually referred to as “hobby shops”. They generally supply materials for the more artistic hobbies such as painting, sewing, scrap booking, jewelry making, baking and the like. Some of the most popular hobby shops include Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft. Popular hobby stores which cater to modeling and remote control cars and planes include Hobby Town and Hobby People. Revised May 27th, 2016 Submit a Website
