Frequently Asked Questions
Sheets are collections of the best websites out there on a specific topic. You can think of them like a collection of webpages, or as we like to say, "cheat sheets".
Each sheet is built to be an informational hub on specific topics, with quick access to quality websites relating to that topic. User sheets can be used to catalog your favorite websites and then organize them however you want. Sheets are broken down into two categories, Master Sheets and User Sheets. As you explore Master Sheets and User Sheets, you can add the links you find and like to your own sheets.
Master Sheets are created by the moderators and administrators at Webspasm and consist of the highest quality of information on that topic. Master Sheets are constantly growing and changing as the Internet provides new relevant information. To keep up with the constant output of new information, Master Sheets are monitored by a small unbiased team of moderators who enlist the help of users on discussion pages. Unlike user sheets, Master Sheets don't have the users name in the address bar.
If you think you've got a sheet that's good enough to become a Master Sheet, simply contact us by using the Contact Page and tell us about your sheet. We'll take a look at it and if your sheet's specific topic isn't one we already have a Master Sheet for, we may just make it a Master Sheet. Not only will your Master Sheet be created, you'll get to become the Moderator for that sheet.
Master Sheets are moderated by Webspasm and contain high quality information on very specific topics. Master Sheets are easily accessible by typing in Webspasm.com/s/(TOPIC-NAME-HERE) into your URL.
Master sheets are also differentiated by having the bookmark icon next to the sheet's name.
User Sheets can be created by anyone and contain a users name in the URL.
Once you've created your account, simply go to the upper left hand corner of the page where your user name appears. Point your cursor over your name and a drop down bar will appear. You'll see a list of items, with '+ Create Sheet'. Click on that and a menu will pop up. Here you'll need to name your sheet, add tags, and give some information about your sheet. No pressure though! You can always go back and change all of that information afterwards. You may choose to make your sheet private by clicking the 'private' box where you'll be asked to create a privacy password. When you're all ready, hit 'Create Sheet' and voila! You've just created your very first sheet.
To follow a sheet, you first want to find a sheet you want to follow. Once you have a sheet you wish to follow, all you need to do is scroll your cursor over the main strip image and select 'Follow this Sheet' and you've done it! Now you can see all of the sheets you are following on your main page.

You may only add tags to your user sheets. You may add a tag by clicking on 'Edit Sheet' found on the upper right hand corner of your sheet's page. From there, add or remove any tags you wish.
Discussion boards are the perfect place to interact with users within the Webspasm community. Every sheet has a discussion board so that users may discuss the sheet's topic, add comments, or suggest content to be added to the sheet. Master Sheets use discussion boards to help maintain and update the quality of information on Master Sheets.
At the top of the page, in the upper right hand corner of the user bar, you'll see a little white bell, also known as your 'notifications'. All notifications of discussion replies will appear up there. That way, you'll always know when someone replies to any of your comments, so you don't have to keep checking in.
Sifting through the vastness of the Internet is a tough thing to do, so how on earth are you supposed to find new content then? Well, we at Webspasm gave that some thought, and since we're all about giving users a cheat sheet, we created the Explore Page to help users find something new on the web. Just select your topics of interest, type in a keyword or phrase and hit 'Search'. The Explore Page searches through every sheet on Webspasm to help you find what you're looking for. You'll be given a list of sheets within your search parameters that you can then navigate to and follow. Neat huh?
NSFW or 'Not Safe For Work Content' is used to mark content with material that contains nudity, pornography, or profanity. We here at Webspasm understand that not everyone wants this type of content coming through his or her feed and that all NSFW has a time and place. Every user may choose to enable NSFW content or not. When NSFW content is not enabled, sheets and bookmarks that may contain questionable NSFW content will not be viewable to the user.
To enable NSFW, simply go to your user settings by clicking on 'Settings' from the dropdown menu under your user name in the top left corner of the navigation bar. Check the 'Enable NSFW Content' box and then the green 'Save Changes' button. You are now free to view NSFW Content at your own discretion.
